When I saw it. It was in the very early hours when normal people are fast asleep. Lasted for around half an hour before back to normal.

Going to have to try bourbon and beans. That should be an explosive combination.

A few comments:. For one of my projects, this is close to my best work.  But compared to what's commercially available it's like this story:

In high school I had to do sewing for my first year.  We had to sew a pin cushion.  That was nearly forty years ago.  My mum kept it and we laugh at it now.  The stitching was falling apart from the day I brought it home.  It's supposed to be in the shape of a cat.  It's just a black lump.  It has one big eye and another small one.  They're not even symmetrically positioned.  It's just a crude lump of felt stitched together with stuffing to stick pins into.  Ridiculously inadequate.

Game now has explosions that have debris flying out of them:

And the camera angle on the F5 button mode has been changed and made smoother:

Matty, the "flashlight" circle is not the best. Remove it or make it optional.

The debris are cool! More pieces needed.

I still have a problem with not be able to keep the troops in one place...it's lame that one enemy shows up and the whole brigade starts to move towards it. We need a "button"  "Defend Area" and then they stay there.

Matty

Flashlight circle? Do you mean on the menu / ui that shows where the mouse is?

Or do you mean the unit selection circle, the light blue circle that is beneath the feet of the units on the game area?

Tom

Matty

Okay, I've removed it. It can be added back in with a setting in the config file.

I fixed an error with the shader settings, the camera position wasn't being sent to the fragment shader correctly, it meant that the specular highlights and fog settings weren't working properly. It's fixed now. But that means I might have to have a closer look at how everything looks in game - because they were being calculated wrongly before.

Make the mouse close to edge scroll optional!
My fingers are on WASD so what's the point?

I'm telling you give me more power over my troops. I want to be able to tell a selection of men to stay put. That's all this game is missing at this stage. Others can happily run around and attack enemies as they usually would. Again. Select, tell them stay here. And they stay. Of course they'll attack if some enters the close proximity around them or shoot at them.

Also the space war thing. Lasers are immediate. Better choose the source point to destination and then draw the laser polygon instead of make the lasers reach out slowly.

Matty

Hmm....to give the units a 'halt' command, maybe I'll change the 'disperse' command to 'halt'...there's not much room left on the ui for additional buttons.
