You can also get the expanding foam post fix, but, I wouldnt trust it really, especially where I live on the side of a valley and when the storms blow in the right direction, whistling down the valley, nowt is safe!

Cannot beat a breaky uppy mode, saves the hand cramps and chipped knuckles knocking ten bells out of a chod of conc with a hammer and chisel.

I have a massive JCB drill with a concrete breaky uppy mode which has got me out of jail free a couple of times replacing rotted fence posts that has been concreted in.

Putting my 2 deckings in.... I've dug enough post holes to last me a life time... I feel sorry for the future poor sod who may want to shift'em... Like most things I do, I tend to go over the top, and as such, I've probably got shares in postcrete! :D

Consult a qualified electrician for compliance with BS 7671 and local building Regs! Avoid areas where future digging is likely. ;)

That depends on where the cable is to run. Minimum depth in a garden in 450mm. Under pavements 600mm.

As the title suggests... Today, well, this afternoon... I've mostly been playing with this little gem of a thing...

I'm pretty dismal at the minute, I used to be good at some of these back in the day, but getting there though, bit of practice! :)

But aye, quite surprised really how well it went together, took a bit of time, quite a few bits, plodded on and was rewarded when I switched it on.

I wasnt sure about getting it if I'm honest, it was a toss up between this, Time Crisis and Star Wars, but they all seem to have their downsides going off reviews.

This cabinet was the LCD screen, apparently, the viewing angles are'nt the best, the more left/right you are, the more washed out it gets visual wise.

Time Crisis, the screen seems too small for the game, which I understand the complaints, I mean you really want to move a bit when your doing your shooty shooty thing, not just simply flicking your wrists the odd millimetre here and there.

Finally, the Star Wars one, basically, the stock yoke is apparently fine, but apparently it's worth upgrading it for a decent one, but this upgrade is £200... Erm, no! :/

So, I picked the Mortal Kombat Legacy cabinet, when it comes to the LCD, it's fine, me and our kid had a bout of 2 player, and, crystal clear from off centre as you need to be... So what players are on about in that regard I don't know, apart from asking where the hell do they intend to be standing while playing? 3 foot from the sides!?!

I also like the variety of games this one offered outside of the main theme, I'm dog poop at some of them mind, but that's just me not used to arcade controls I think, redefine options may of helped, but, I'm sure with a bit of practice I'll get iron that out.

Wifi is also in, never played with it online just yet, so cannot tell what any lag issues will be, but a nice option to have.

Finally, potential mod with a Pi in there, doesnt seem like it will be a big job, only downfall will be time to do it, but, the option is there if I want it.

All in all, very pleased, it's been a heap of fun playing "proper" like back in the day, and as such, I recommend it.

Problems is once you've played all the games and can complete them. You're going to get bored of it.
If you've dug yourself into a hole. Just keep digging. You're bound to come out the other side eventually.

This is one of their cabinets that have Android underneath, due to the Wifi connectivity.

Well this is one of the reasons I picked this one, because when I'm done with the "stock" setup, modding it with a Pi and chucking Retro Pi in doesnt look like much of a hassle.

I mean, I could go a couple of routes with that, first off, get a few controllers to get all the stock bits talking to the Pi, such as the LCD screen and control board, and make it duel bootable... Cheapest option.

Or, I can just wipe out the stock stuff and implement a mod that is solely angled to the Pi, such as upgrading the LCD to a larger one which will have HDMI input, get a new control deck with regular USB connections, heck, with a larger screen, I could probably get a Pi compatible light gun and pedal for Time Crisis setup.

At the moment, I'll use it as is, and when I get bored of the stock setup, I'll probably will have a rejig! :)
