My mop and bucket was £30. 🤨 It's a Vileda one and you stick it in the bucket and press a pedal with your foot and it spins round and dries the mop out AND IT'S BRILLIANT! 👌

Oh, I can give you a tip right now, no need to wait... Ahem... Pay someone a fiver to do it, even the bucket was a chew! :D ;)

Well if the occasion should ever arise, where I need to gift wrap a mop and bucket. I know where to get tips from ;)

Has anyone ever tried to wrap up a mop? Never again! :D

Lol, not the ones from Poundland! :D Anyway, I've got a nice box of chocolates and a Prosecco to go in the bucket! ;)

@Dabzy I think they will appreciate it. Have you seen how much it can cost for a good mop and bucket set in this day and age.  I can buy a bottle of Blonde chocolate cream liqueur for less at ASDA.

Well, I'm off out to buy a 60th birthday pressie... A mam of one of me mates... Gonna get her a mop and bucket, and wrap it up, even wrap the noodly mop bits individually... All in Christmas wrapping paper... Should go down well! :D

When I saw it. It was in the very early hours when normal people are fast asleep. Lasted for around half an hour before back to normal.

First time I seen it, having me cuppa at work and had a browse... Saw it and I was like "WTF is that!?!", so got on the blower!

If you've dug yourself into a hole. Just keep digging. You're bound to come out the other side eventually.

i don't like these types of games, but i respect the work and the perseverance. 👏🙂

Steve Elliott

Good to see a coder from the BlitzBASIC.com days still going.

Jake runs (build) the game with blitzmax and the guy is surprised how little time it takes compared to unity.

that's why we use the term 'blitz' 😎🔥🚀

Yeah he laughed at a computer language also being the engine - rather than a language and bloated engine. But thought hours compiling was acceptable.  ???

That had me in stitches. Guess he's never heard the saying that time is money.

I'm surprised that Grey Alien isn't already a member here yet.

..those match3 games and what not, are not my cup of tea, but im happy to see him making living out of it since obviously, there is a substantial audience for such games..

..as for that guy wondering about Unity compilation time, it just shows direction of whole game development or majority of it..no more fine tuning or things such as fast inverse square root (evil hack), and so on. All is packed, stacked, redacted..result? Well..ocean of crap games painted with AAA brush..

If those types of people that have only ever used tools such as Unity or Godot start making claims that they are games programmers. I would tell them when you can make a simple guessing game in C, then you can come back to me and make that claim. Using a script language of a unified game engine, isn't to my eyes real games programming. Even users of the Unreal Engine prior to UE 4 had to use UE's own built in script language. And by the sounds of it, they could be switching from C++ back to their own custom scripting language.

i would no be so harsh, what matters is the finished game / app.
some people are 'experts' in programming and have not finished any good game / app...

i stick with blitzbasic, to make little games / apps, fast ! 🔥🚀
