I don't know what irritates me more. Apple making changes every five minutes, or developers not keeping the software up to date with said changes.
MonoGame's only solution is to use the x86_64 version of dotnet on an ARM64 chipset.
Problems arise when you've installed the ARM64 version of VSCode and then try to use the C# Dev kit tools with dotnet x86_64. Complains worse than a Karen about it.
I hear you... With Apple, your tinkering away, done for the night, go to bed... Next morning you have a quick look through your code which worked the night before, and bang... Errors!!!
In most cases, it was to update the build tools... But every day... FFS, REALLY!!!
I mean, the jump from Win10 to Win11 I found irritating, because of the overhaul, some things would work as expected in Windows 10, but, Windows 11, they either didnt, or the GUI was iffy.
I moan, but I can put up with that, it's probably a once in a few years event, but Apple take the piss like.

..or when you're running the beta, so XCode needs to be running the XCode Beta, so you use that, and then you go to compile your game for the AppStore, but the AppStore only accepts apps from the none-Beta XCode so you open your project up in that but it refuses to compile because your iPhing is running the Beta, so you have to borrow your Mum's iPad so it'll compile on there, then bundle it all up and submit it.
Yeah, there are a LOT of reasons I don't do iOS dev anymore.

The same with Microsoft, I was trying to do something very simple on my wife's laptop just now and Microsoft Windows was fighting me all the way! Basically are you sure? Do you know about this that and the other? Sod off I know what I'm doing, just shut up...We never got this shit in the 80's lol. The computer just did what you asked.

Well she never seems to bother. I always say why are you squinting looking at that tiny mobile phone when you have a good sized laptop screen?!
And she doesn't have that many shoes lol.
i don't know much about mac osx, but i just notice that my parents have a computer with windows 7 which is 14years old, and still works well...
(on which i sometimes test my blitz3d prototypes / games, without problem...)
MacOS updating:
"Hey there's an update, wanna install? OK, I'll just reboot, be about 15 mins, k?"
Windows updating:
"There's an update, wanna install? Bwwaaaahahaha I meant ELEVENTY SQUILLION UPDATES SUCKER! But don't worry, you can still use your PC during the undetermined amount of time this is going to take.
Oh, just got started on that highly complex spreadsheet did you? Well here's the thing - I need to reboot RIGHT NOW for NO GOD DAMN REASON. Leave it til later? Sure but I'm going no further with these updates til you do.

Truth.
We have a coal fire and toast is 10x better. The only problem is that you've got to have toast when the fire's suitable for doing it, which is not necessarily when you fancy a bit of toast.

Just like the good ol'days didnt have problems then. You had a Bug and you worked around it.
Sometimes the updates are to limit you and your access. So there is actually no better functionality or improvements.
Try turning Windows10 updates off. Then one morning you turn your computer on and it's updating again. WRONG REALLY
I'm sure some software implement updates on the basis the only thing that it looks like they have updated is comments in the source code as nowt else changes.
