For me, if a person is terminal, but still has all the scruples up top, then, I say fair enough, let THEM have the choice, let them discuss at want point the would like to see themselves go.
Me mam died of cancer a year and a half ago, she was tired, just becoming weaker and weaker, honestly, I would of gladly swapped places with her because it was horrible to see, and, well, she was the type who was as tough as old boots, and would of hated anyone to see her like that... Very proud woman was me mam.
I do believe there is a place for such a thing, and as the old saying goes "You wouldnt let a dog go through that", or when you do get a pet put down, it's always "It was the best decision"
Humans should be allowed that as well because it actually may be the best decision.
I think it's been a very serious topic that, well, noone really wanted to talk about.
