I'm still working on my current game, but am unsure where to take it from here.

But - I had an idea for whatever my next project would be (probably a turn based tactical game in either a dungeon or space installation).

But...I had two side-ideas that relate to developing this project:

Idea 1: Record the development of the game from start to finish with a screen capture program - all the development...and then of course upload it sped up 10-20x since a lot of the time as anyone who develops knows is very dry and boring doing nothing much at all beyond looking at a screen and thinking.

Idea 2: Using a second monitor play a distracting 'film' or such on the second screen and try to code the game while this is playing at the same time. For example - an automated rotation of randomly selected 'camgirls' (adult stuff) that play on the second screen off to the left or right while I'm coding/doing graphics etc and trying to do my work as a silly humourous attempt to do my work under 'distraction techniques'....a bit of harmless fun. (Potentially record my development of the game as well with this too)....(does cost money though - I'd need to buy a second monitor).

Personally I think the second could be harmless fun. But it would be better if I had an actual task assigned by someone to complete with a proper spec to work from, then it feels like I'm having to do a 'job/work' under silly conditions like that.

Idea 1: You'd need to speed it up more than 20x otherwise it'd still take more than two weeks (based on average game development time frame) for somebody to watch it. But I don't think anyone would. I wouldn't bother.

Idea 2: What you get up to in the privacy of your own trousers is your business.  :o

Idea 1: Same as what Gfk said, but, you could create a game and document it with a bit of narration... So, not exactly a "speed run" setup, more like a make-umentary!

Idea 2: Erm.... Dirty boy! :P

Also, As a long shot idea. You mentioned a turned based game.

Do you remember the old Text Adventures? I remember Inca curse on the ZX81.

You were in an Incan temple and had to escape form it. Mix it up with a bit of Final Fantasy. And play the Text adventure in a graphical sense along the lines of Final fantasy.

If you think its a totally shite idea? It was just a thought.  :-X
