One of the last things I was doing on the retired forum was asking about the blitzcc.exe's command-line args. I'd been trying to use Blitz3D on Linux and finding the default IDE broke source files under WINE due to mangling all the line-endings. I figured I could maybe edit code in something else and call the compiler manually.
Anyway I did eventually get a working solution -- there's a version of VSCode that runs (mostly stable) under WINE, and the existing Blitz3D extension will merrily call the compiler for you. It was all quite straightforward to install using Lutris.
